Is for hummus! I finally found tahini at Fresh Market after looking for a couple of weeks, only to just stumble on it at Whole Foods where I looked at in the beginning. I hate it when that happens, lol! Anyhow, I make mine chunky 1) because it's a pain trying to get it perfect using my hand mixer 2)because I lurve it that way now! You want the recipe?

Here ya go:

1 can of chickpeas drained and rinsed
2 tbsp water (I got this from a book, not sure if it's necessary)
2 tbsp tahini (I do generous spoons)
1/3 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic (I used minced and fresh with great results)
1 tbsp lemon juice (more or less to taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
Paprika (sprinkle on after blended)

I stir mine to get all the stuff mixed in, then blend with the hand mixer till smoothish, but still a few chunks of chickpeas, sprinkle that Paprika yum! You could spoon a little garlic on top for an extra kick too :-)

Voila! The result is plenty to share or eat for lunch with veggies over a couple of days. Sorry this pic is blurry. I was in a hurry to get out the door and get to work. Taking pics of hummus isn't a part of my job sad :o(
